This blog is a place for me to spew my long winded thoughts on anything from Confessional Lutheranism, traditional worship, educational theory, politics, computer programming, and any other ol' thing that comes along

Dude....
Our blog didn't fly man. We aren't posting anymore. I'm bummed!!
Probably for the same reasons I pulled mine. It doesn't help the situation and tends to make it worse and it is so divisive. There are too many punches below the belt. There are better things to do with our time.
I am convinced that Greg Jackson has alot of baggage that he doesn't want to give to Jesus and his obsessions about all of it borders on sickness perpetuated on his blog.
It never ceases to amaze me that people will hear what they want to hear. I should have left my rock and roll blog up because I pretty much had Rev. Schroeder pegged. He is a good man and I admire him immensely. I listened to the first 45 minutes or so last night of his opening address; the part where he (according to some) 'called out' all of us 'growthers'. But not only did he caution the people who may be pushing the outside of the envelope, he also cautioned the other side of the aisle about legalisms.
If any of the crusaders missed that part, by all means go back and listen again.
Thanks for posting that Joe. I was traveling and wasn't in the mood to type a response on the phone while driving.
I think if the people who are such opponents to "us" would even have a clue that we agree that extreme stuff is dangerous and worthy of warning and that when we hear that message we too can go. "Amen!" Of course going "Amen!" would be sort of evangelical wouldn't it.

why did they quit the blog or not at least leave what they had up for reference to combat the lies?
It must be part of the hateful conspiracy.
I actually have no idea on both counts. I at least wish I could've grabbed the stuff. I would have no problem carrying the torch. Oh well.
